Megasen is a small round creature whose name and appearance are reminiscent of a cross between a small pig and a pegasus. Matulda is a woman who flies on a broomstick. The starting point for the feature film is the coup d'état (led by Lillpösus the Bold – also known as Slidder Sladder – and his henchman Klart Som Korvspad) that takes place during the ongoing heatwave in the airis kingdom. The action then takes place primarily on Earth, sometimes in apartment buildings, office paper, vanilla ice cream drifts, and juice glasses. The human children Mats and Mi are the only important human characters.
